Our professionals at National Asset Restitution LLC use a multitude of sources to locate and uncover these lost funds. After we conclude who the asset holder is, we then begin to determine who is entitled to these funds so they can be refunded back to their rightful owners.
Once we have determined who the recipient that is entitled to the funds is, we then begin to try and get in contact with them via phone or mail. This becomes the most extensive part of the process. We typically try and locate them or any relatives using public search record databases.
After getting in touch with the party of interest and verifying their identity, our experts will prepare the proper documents needed to file the claim. We will then mail that documentation to our client to sign. Our professionals will walk you through the paperwork if needed.
Once our client has signed the documents, we will then hire and pay for a mobile notary to meet you at a location of your choice to notarize these documents. These documents MUST be notarized since they are legal documents. We will include a return label to send back to us.
After our firm has received the signed and notarized documents, we will then review the paperwork to verify everything has been filled out and signed correctly. Next, we will submit the claim to the state agency in charge of holding the funds and notify you as soon as the claim has been filed.
Once the claim has been filed, we will handle all correspondence with the asset holder between then and the time the claim gets approved to ensure timeliness is met. Once the asset holder has approved the claim and released the funds, we will then overnight you a check.
